Hi guys!
I’m a teacher in Western Australia and I’m exploring the blogosphere at the moment. I came across your page because it was featured as a “blog of the hour” on Edublogs.org’s main page.
I just had to leave a comment saying that not only is the design fantastic, but the content is also just as good
Well done!
Hi to you in W.A!
Thanks for visiting our site and we are glad that you enjoyed our developing ideas and hope you can see our new learning.
If you have a site of your own or make one soon, let us know as we would be really happy to visit.
If you wish to get in contact leave your e-mail here and I will get back to you soon - I would delete your mail address from the blog
Take care - Thanks for visiting!
Hello. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintence. We are four teachers divided into two classes from Brooklyn, New York. Our students range from 10 - 13 years of age. Our students are from grades 6 and 7. The four of us are very eager to be involved in a on-line exchange of ideas and customs on an inter-contintental plane that can only exist through the internet. Our class is very excited about the possibilities of this interaction. We enjoyed viewing your site and look forward to interacting with you as part of our classroom initiative. Please respond to us at NTastic4@gmail.com.
We look forward to helpful comments and suggestions from your students on our site.
Hi again,
This is Tessa’s Nana again. Please explain to me the point of blogging, and how it works. I was at school when there was no TV, let alone computers, mobile phones etc. so it is all a bit of a mystery to me. I would like the PUPILS to answer this question rather than your teacher or other adults!!
I look forward to your thoughts and explanations.
NO 1 Nana
I think this web site is terrific and am very impressed with all of you who have written into it. Don’t know whether you can accept emails from Australia but you should know we can read it here too.
Regards Jean
Hi Jean - Could you please tell us a little about yourself and how you came to visit this site. Do you have your own blog site that we can visit?
We can definetly accept e-mail from anywhere in the world and it is a pleasure to know that you have visited from Australia.
Thanks,
Room 29
Hello, the most amazing class!

Hi,
You people certainly like commenting on your blog. Well done.
How old are year 5 and 6? We are Primary 6 in Aberdeen in Scotland and we are 10 years old.
Hi Scottish friend,
I think that’s a question for my teacher to answer, but I’ll answer it anyway.
some year 5s are 9, the majority is 10 which is year 5 and 6 and very few is 11 which is only for year 6s. (I’m 11) see you around!

Hi heather
Brittany here -
Hope you are having a great time over there, I just want to know - What is it like going to school over there compared to here?
Brittany
Hi Lyndsay,
Blogging can be used as a way to let people talk to each other, or they can be used to gather information from people, or they can be used as a school site to teach people who cant reach school, or just for homework.
On a blog site you can leave comments, or just browse what other people have said. Sometimes you can watch a movie, or look at a photo, maybe play a game. This blog site is very big and has a lot of comments. You should look at the All Stars site, it is endless!
Here is their site, or you can find it on the main page: http://allstars.edublogs.org/
From Oliver RD
Thanks Oliver.
Thats a nice explanation.
It is also another way to explore new ideas and express yourself and of course to build a sense of community for you as a learner, for your family and relations to gain insight into our class learning and for us to realise that the world really is accessible in these new ways. I hope you have taken the time to check out the Web 2.0 links on the Information page.
Oliver - be proud of yourself. You are doing some great work! Keep it up.
Hello from Brisbane, Australia Room 29,
Thank you for the comment on our class blog. We are a Year 6 class in a small P-7 school. This year we have been “Learning to Blog and Blogging to Learn.” We have all created our own blogs to share the things we learn at school. We are also Blog Buddies with our Year One class and they have their own blogs too.
This week we are going on school camp to an island we can see from our school so that is very exciting. There will be lots on our blogs about camp when we get back. When we get back we’ll try to help with your teamwork project.
We’ll put a link to your blog on ours.

Hello, I am a graduate student in Instructional Technology at Northern Illinois University. Our professor has directed us to your site so we can see how blogs can be used in education. Just thought you might like to know you are being used as an example.
Hi Bill,
On behalf of Room 29…Thanks!
It is an honor to be recognised in such a way. I hope you and the other students at your university have found some inspiration here.

Hi my new blog is: http://www.hjzoom.learnerblogs.org/
A great site - I will keep an eye on how it develops in the future. As an Australian grade 5/6 teacher I have just farewelled my 2007 class; it’s sad because they were great. But next year I will have another group of wonderful young minds to work with and we will chronicle our adventures on our blog: http://mrsc2902.edublogs.org. Come and visit!
Hi Andrew
you have done an awesome job here!
Do you have an email address and is it possible to ask you a couple of questions about how you managed this?
thanks
Dave

your blogspace is a creation of the entire group. I am learning how to use blogs in my school. Any advice would be used for the common good.
